Hello!! 🙂 I’m sure millions of people have told you this, but you are like a god with make-up!!! ^_^ I will sit and watch your videos forever just being amazed at what you can do. You totally inspire me to do funky things with my make-up! Of course, when I try and do what you do…I totally fail! 😦 I try so hard but it ends up looking terrible. Maybe I buy crappy make-up. Aha. Well anyways, thanks for being an amazing make-up artist. 🙂 Keep up the good work!

  14. Robyn says:

You are the first person on youtube to not get on my nerves when giving tutorials, haha. You are very informed in what you’re saying and explaining and I feel like you truly speak as a stylist in both make up and hair. I’m really excited to follow the advice you give!

I saw your review of cheap hair products and also wanted to let you know about another cheap sulfate/paraben free shampoo/conditioner. It has an egg yolk protein in it too which is also great for giving your hair shine. It’s called Vitamin Shampoo or Vitamin Conditioner. It’s around the same price as the Loreal product $6-7 range, but is less in the grey area about animal testing. It is not testing on animals and comes in several different scents. I use the gogi berry and green tea one since my hair is a bit dry from dying it often. The noni berry and lemongrass one is also great. They have them at most drugstores (I don’t know if you have a Walgreens where you live, but that’s usually where I find mine). Hope you get the chance to try it any enjoy it. :]

    Hello,
I just started watching your videos a while back, and i find it amazing what you are able to do with make up. Its beautiful. I’ve always had allergys to make up, and before i started watching your tutorials, I never missed it. Now i wish i had been able to learn and practice more with things such as those.

  17. ashlee m says:

Hi cora, did you go to makeup school?? or have you taken any cosmetic classes?

  18. ashlee m says:

also where do you buy all your brushes?

  19. Donna Gavin says:

I am soon to be a 40 year old woman. I absolutely love the look of false eye lashes and purchased some, but tried them once and got frustrated and they sit in their box. I watched an episode of Rachel Ray recently who had Rupaul on as a guest. He said a short cut to easily puting on lashes was to cut each lash into 3 sections, then put them on. Today, I decided to watch a video on how to put them on and came across your YouTube videos. You are absolutely gorgeous, and I love the colors of your hair. Ive always loved that “wild” look and people who can pull that look off. I simply have never had the “nerve” to do that look. I did, however, fall in love with your look, and found your blog, and love it. I hope you are on facebook too, as I am going to try and find you there. Good luck in all of your fun and stylish adventures!

  20. Jeanna says:

Heyy! First of all, I love your videos! You break it all down and let us knows what’s up and what’s not and on a ‘beauty on a budget’ scale – lovelovelove.

Anyways, I have fair-skin like yours so I have always focused on foundations, powders, eyeliners, mascaras, etc. to compensate for what I felt was a curse for a long time (the fair skin). I’ve grown to love it but that’s another story. My deal is I have never ever ever wore anything on my lips other than chapstick….? I don’t know what I was thinking either but looking back I look well, flushed. With the pale skin, the black eyeliner, you know.

I love the shades and the overall look of most the lip colors you use and I was wondering if you could make a video about some of the more fair-skin flattering lipsticks you have come across. I have bought 2 lipsticks recently and they are basically the color of your background on your website here. So yeah, WOW on my part.
    Lookin’ a hot mess!

But thank you so much for all of your reviews and keeping my hard earned money safe and I would absolutely love to see a video about some fair-skinned flattering shades.
+ I am sure others would too!

    Take care!

  26. Tisha says:

Are eyeshadow brushes better than the eyeshadow applicators??? Just curious.

  27. Lexi says:

I was watching one of your videos saying that you have yet to find the perfect moisturizer. I was wondering if you have ever tried any of the Kiehls products. I am currently using Kiehls ultra facial cream and I love it. I called them today for you to see if they did animal testing. The woman I spoke to said that they do not personally do animal testing. She also said that they are a divison of Loreal which means that some ingredients may have been tested on an animal before being put into the product but the product itself has not been. I did happen to find out that the product that I am currently using ingredients and all has never been tested on an animal. I really hope that this was helpful. I love your videos so much. They are amazing!!

  42. Hi Cora! I want to thank you so much for your awesome videos. Since I started watching them, I’ve become much more adventurous with makeup. I think the red lip is now my go-to. You make everything so fun and easy – thank you!

  43. Brandi says:

    Hi Cora,
Just wondering if you had a favorite airbrush makeup machine. I have watched some of your reviews but still don’t know which one i should get. Your opinion would really help. Thanks

  44. Em says:

    Hi Cora-

I am a subscriber and really enjoy your tutorials and reviews. What do you suggest, or can you do a review or tutorial on concealers? I have some hyperpigmentation that I am in the process of fading and have found that the concealers I try make the spots look grey (?).

Also, because of your review(s), I am getting my first Z Pro Palette this week. WhooHoo! It’s like a gated community/neighborhood for my makeup. I can’t wait!

You rock! Keep up the good work.

  45. Jazmyn says:

You seem like SUCH an amazing person, and when I watch your videos, your wonderful positive attitude is what I aspire to have.

If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have found the courage to be myself and get the help I need for my anxiety disorder. You’ve helped me find the courage to be the better me. I wanted to thank you for that.

    Hey Cora

I love watching your tutorials. Your makeup ideas are wonderful and they way you explain are fantastic. So my question is I am a halloween fanatic and have already started working on my costume for this October as an Ice Queen or Snow Queen with a long royal blue gown but I have been thinking of the make up situation and thought how the lovely Cora would probably have such amazing ideas since I saw your Sea Queen tutorial. Would you be able to do up maybe something for me if possible. Thanks so much…oh and of course I voted for you.

  65. Sylvia says:

    Hi
I was just surfing the net looking for some bright make up tutorials and came across yours on youtube. I am 46 years old and am still into dying my hair, adding extensions, goth make up clothes etc. Your tutorials are excellent! Thank you for sharing

  66. samjcollier says:

    Hello Cora,

You are such a lovely person. I love seeing your posts and videos. Your cheerfulness can brighten any day.

I love all the new eyeliners you have posted about. It makes me sort of sad because I have a dilemma that I can’t see out of one of my eyes but I love eyeliner. I dream of being able to wear beautiful swooping liners in lovely colors. However, that is pretty impossible for me. I have watched a lot of stuff on how to put eyeliner on with more ease. I’ve tried all sorts of different eyeliners to see what would work best for me but still can’t get past the fact I can’t get the same look at all on both eyes.

I normally close my one eye that is blind while putting eyeliner on and manage to get the eyeliner looking just fine. When I move to my good eye, I struggle to repeat the look with my eye open but it just doesn’t work out. It ends with me going back and forth between to two trying to match them which normally ends with way too much eyeliner caked on shapelessly.

I’ve thought about the eyeliner sheets you paste on but I’ve read so many bad reviews.

Would you have any tips achieving certain eyeliner looks or maybe there is a look that’s easy enough that I should be able to copy it eye open or closed. Or maybe my dreams of pretty eyeliners are just unreachable. I know I have been told by a few make artist friends to just not wear eyeliner.

  67. Luz DLS says:

My two daughters 10 and 3 years old love to watch your makeup tutorials well me too! You are awesome thanks for all your advice !

  68. Jessica says:

  69. Nora says:

Hey Cora, love the tutorials. I just watched the thing about the lingerie and I dont know if you have checked out the NEW bra that Jockey has out with. Here is the link http://www.jockey.com/brastory. They have come up with a New way of you getting your RIGHT fit. I have funny shoulders and the Straps never stay up. And I’m sometimes a C and sometimes a D. So I have a hard time finding the right fit. I love Jockey. Great Bras and Underwear. Thanks for your time. And KEEP up the great tutorials. Nora Jax, Fl.

  70. Caitie says:

    Hey Cora,

  71. Nichelle says:

You are an inspiration to me, and I want to show how much I love your blog. I made these http://www.polyvore.com/cora/collection?id=3001278 Please enjoy.

  72. Have you ever tried “The Balm”? They are a great makeup company out of San Fran that I just cannot get enough of. Aside from the fact that they make an effort to stay as “green” as possible, they are also very conscientious of the contents of their makeup. My personal favorite: the lip gloss. Clear (lemon) and Red (fruit punch) are the best. Now, I am not typically the kind of person who likes:

    1. Lip Gloss. Its thick. It’s waxy. It dries out my lips and creates far more work to maintain than a standard long wear lipstick.

    2. Flavored crap tastes horrible and quite frankly gives me a headache.

The Balm’s lip gloss does NONE of those things. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

  73. Erika Eliozondo says:

Can you please review Concrete Minerals, Pretty Please!!

  74. Becky Adams says:

Sugar Plum Fairy was awesome!! I have received an Ulta gift card for Xmas, and can only afford one high priced pallette. Should I buy the Lorac Unzipped or the UD Naked 3? From here they look very similar, but I want to know which one you think is best.

  75. Rebecca Stedding says:

I absolutely love your videos… I have been following you for a fee more the now. Could you please do a tutorial on contouring. And what products you love best. I use kat von d foundation and I love it. I’m just horrible at contureing.. Thank you in advance

  76. Keisha West says:

    Hi Cora!

I just want to say, from one plus sized makeup lover to another, THANK YOU! Everything you do is amazing! I have learned so much from watching your videos!

I do have a question for you. I have been seeing alot about counterfeit or fake makeup. “Brand” products that are sold on sites such as Ebay or Amazon for incredably low prices. My question is, how do you know if what you’re buying is the real thing?

    XOXO
    Keisha

  77. Desiree says:

You should be proud of your site redo. 🙂 I wouldn’t have the first clue either! The only thing I miss is the button that said “Watch me on YouTube” that linked directly to your channel.
